Contract news: 

The ICT end user devices and services for NSW Government has been split into:

  • ICT end user devices and services for NSW Government – Lot 1 - devices 
  • ICT end user devices and services for NSW Government – Lot 2 - services 

Contract 999 has been executed for both Lot 1 (devices) and Lot 2 (services) and the Government Standard Specification(GSS) updated.

  • Contract 999 Lot 1 (devices) is effective from 1 August 2017 until 31 July 2020 and has 10 panel members. (Two twelve -month extension options remain)
  • Contract 999 Lot 2 (services) is effective from 15 December 2017 until 30 November 2020 and has 12 panel members. (Two twelve -month extension options remains)

 Lot 1 (devices) includes devices such as:

  • desktops
  • notebooks,
  • hybrid (2-in-1) devices
  • tablets
  • monitors
  • workstations
  • thin clients
  • universal docks.

Lot 2 (services) includes services such as:

  • asset tagging
  • pre-delivery configuration
  • pre-delivery imaging
  • basic installation
  • extended Installation
  • sanitisation services
  • decommission services
  • disposal services.

All other ICT hardware can be purchased under the ICT Services Scheme [2].

Lot 1 (devices) panel of contractors will remain open and may be updated by the contract authority from time to time at its discretion. Interested OEM suppliers may apply to DCS at any time for inclusion on the panel. Expressions of interest should be sent to ICTServices@customerservice.nsw.gov.au [3]

Suppliers who do not intend to supply GSS type equipment are not encouraged to apply. They should look to register for the ICT Services Scheme [2].

Lot 2 (services) panel has been filled for the moment but may be updated by the contract authority from time to time at its discretion.

Pricing of GSS devices is covered by Contract 999 Lot 1 (devices) and for Services covered by Contract 999 Lot 2 (services) pricing can be obtained from ICTServices@customerservice.nsw.gov.au [3]

Complaints and disputes

If case of a dispute, both the buyer and the supplier must use their best efforts to resolve it. 

The buyer should speak to the supplier's customer service representative first. If they can't solve the matter together, the buyer should then contact NSW Procurement.

If the dispute cannot be resolved by mutual agreement of both parties in consultation with NSW Procurement, it will be referred for expert determination. This more formal process will need a higher level of detailed documentation, correspondence and records.

Eligibility to use contract

Public bodies can purchase from NSW Government contracts under Clause 6 of the Public Works and Procurement Regulation 2019 [5].

How to register

To register as a new customer please complete the online registration form [6].

Once approved, you will be advised of your authorised buyer identification number and you are then eligible to use the NSW Government contracts. Please be aware this registration process may take approximately eight weeks.
