What is this about?
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is working to transform ICT/Digital Sourcing. Our goal is big: it is about building ICT/Digital Sourcing for the digital age, so it includes many exciting initiatives for which an agile and collaborative approach is needed. We’re still in the early stages of our journey to transform ICT/Digital Sourcing on a holistic basis – across procurement processes, procurement schemes, digital platforms and the contracting framework.
Contracting framework reform
Introducing our Cloud Agreement
We are starting with cloud. Cloud services is our fastest growing area of ICT/Digital Sourcing, and it calls for an entirely fresh approach to contracting. We’re developing a Cloud Agreement for the procurement of a broad range of cloud services (across both low risk and high-risk scenarios), taking learnings from the Core & Agreement (Low Risk). Our new Cloud Agreement is made up of Cloud Core Terms, Requirements and Seller Terms (optional). Our first draft is now open for consultation.
Our Discussion Paper has information as to how to provide feedback. We’d appreciate if you could please provide feedback. Be part of our journey!
Core& Agreement (Low Risk)
As part of our contracting framework reform, DCS launched Core& agreement (Low Risk) on 1 August 2018. Core& agreement (Low Risk) is a short, simple agreement to replace the old ICT Short Form Contract and became mandatory on 1 November 2018.
Platform reform — buy.nsw
On 31 May 2018, DCS launched buy.nsw - a new platform that is simplifying procurement in NSW, starting with cloud. As an agile program, more features and ICT and non-ICT pathways will be added over time to meet the needs of our buyers and sellers. To view the platform, or register to become a buyer or seller, visit buy.nsw
