Agency Accreditation Scheme for Procurement

Under the Agency Accreditation Scheme for Procurement, NSW Government agencies can undertake different levels of procurement based on their assessed procurement capability.

Accredited agencies can buy goods and services not available under whole-of-government contract and construction up to their maximum contract value.

Level 1 - Basic Level 1 - Basic accredited agencies have a maximum contract value of at least $1 million and up to $5 million.
Level 2 - Advanced Level 2 - Advanced accredited agencies have a maximum contract value between $5 million and $30 million.
Level 3 - Leading There is no dollar limit to the maximum contract value Level 3 - Leading accredited agencies may receive. The maximum contract value is determined by the agency's spend profile.

Agency Accreditation Scheme for Construction

By March 2018, accreditation granted under the Agency Accreditation Scheme for Construction will be phased out. Agencies requiring construction accreditation will need to be assessed under the Agency Accreditation Scheme for Procurement.

Under this scheme, accredited agencies can conduct procurement valued over $1.3 million using their own systems, in accordance with the terms of their accreditation (Board Direction C2014-03).
